A photo from the Andries Bannink family archive plus the question if any of you know what this car is. This large car belonged to the grandparents of Andries and is a family snapshot.

It is somewhere between 1934-1838. The family is from Utrecht and that can be seen by the license plate.

But what kind of car is it?
Together with Andries we are curious about your answers

  1. Dear Andries Bannink,

About the question "what kind of car is this?" I think this is a 4 Cadillac 1935-door sedan.
I think that can be seen from the ornament on the hood.

    Best regards. Jeroen Kooistra.

    • Dear Mr. Kooistra, Thank you for the valuable response. We now think it is an 1934 Oldsmobile.
      Yours faithfully,
      Andries Bannink
