If you thought that the so-called "economical driving" is something of recent times, then you are wrong. Already in the 1940s people were concerned with this matter, as shown by the fuel saver depicted here. The device had to be placed in the fuel supply line. At the top a kind of 'screw' to apparently regulate the flow of fuel ...? Are there perhaps among our readers connoisseurs who know something more about this?
