The Event scheme for old-timers may be adjusted and expanded. The policy change is reportedly published in the Government Gazette next week. Owners of vintage cars in the transitional arrangement would then be allowed to go to an event with their vehicle to a limited extent in the months of December, January and February. At the moment, the adjustment is not yet final.

Currently, the event arrangement applies to owners of a suspended vehicle of 15 years and older. It is possible to drive during events recognized by the Tax Authorities. It is not necessary to cancel the suspension of the license plate. Owners do not pay tax in that case. There is also no APK obligation.

Terms of current arrangement
There are conditions attached to the current arrangement. The organizer must have registered the event at least two months in advance with the Tax Authorities. The owner of the vehicle must make his participation known to the organizer of the relevant event. He then ensures that the list of license plates is sent to the Fiscus. Incidentally, there is currently a restriction on the number of events in which owners of "event vehicles" may participate. A maximum of four of such events may take part. A maximum of six days can be driven per calendar year with the suspended vehicle, which can only be used in relation to events. The car must then also be insured.

Possible extension
There may therefore be an extension of the measure. This adjustment would mean that owners of an old-timer in the transitional arrangement can make use of the Events arrangement. Owners can use the relevant scheme with a particular motor vehicle - during the winter break - for a maximum of 2 days. In addition, the vehicle in the transitional arrangement would not have to be separately suspended.

Next week, those responsible for adjusting the Events Regulation expect to be able to give a definitive answer.

  1. It is unfortunate that most people do not really think who are in the 2e room, they usually only start thinking afterwards, if there is already power to do this.
How can they blow through the old-timer scheme for LPG.
They come up with a tax benefit for the so-called green (electricity) driving.
However, this is largely generated with mega polluting coal plants.
    Think before you begin.
