The German classic season is about to start. Traditionally, the opening of the new season takes place in Bremen, where the Bremen Classic Motor Show is being held again this year. Visitors can immerse themselves from 3 to 5 February in the typical atmosphere that the Bremen Classic Motor Show entails: versatile, sober and accessible. 650 exhibitors from 12 countries will, in collaboration with the professional organization, undoubtedly provide a classic party again.
Exclusive models from Karmann
Also during the 2017 edition the organization makes room for some special themes. Bodybuilder Karmann is central to one of the theme exhibitions. The organization shows twelve models from Karmann's treasury in Osnabrück, which includes 140 design studies, prototypes and series models. Among the rarely shown models is the Oer Karmann Ghia, among others. It was designed in 1953 without Wolfsburg's knowledge by Ghia boss Luigi Segre. Furthermore, the presence of an Opel Karmann model is delicate. Because a beautiful Commodore A Cabriolet will liven up the Sonderschau.
Vom Jedermann zum Weltmeister
The second theme is about Zündapp and that is a legendary German two-wheeler builder. The company was founded in 1917 in Nuremberg as a manufacturer of ignition mechanisms and devices. After the First World War, the company focused on the construction of motorcycles. And with results, because Zündapp became one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the world. During the theme exhibition “Vom Jedermann zum Weltmeister”, 19 models symbolize the glorious history of Zündapp.
Young classics and British glory
As usual, Bremen is again dominated by various trading activities and a wide range, with the organization requesting special attention for the “Jungen Klassiker” in hall 6. These are TüV approved classics that were built between 1965 and 1995. And in Hall 5, project leader Frank Rüge will demand special attention for an offer consisting of a number of British icons, such as the Triumph TR3A and the MG MGB GT V8.
Privat Angebot im Parkhaus
Aspiring buyers will also find what they are looking for in the parking garage. There is - traditionally - a variety of privately offered cars for sale. That will certainly be the case this year, because this exhibition is now sold out for participants. And in Hall 1, those on the market for motorized two-wheelers will find an appealing offer, which in Bremen furthermore consists of numerous parts, books, miniatures and other articles that fit the experience of classic cars and motorcycles.
Rally greats
Anyone who wants to be united with greats from international rally sport would do well to visit the stand of the ADAC Hansa rally team on Friday (between 15.00 hours and 17.00 hours) and on Saturdays (between 11.00 hours and 12.00 hours). The rally greats Günther Wanger and Jochi Kleint will be available there for signatures and photos.
